Mika's fundraiser
Story
We are participating in the 2013 William's Walk to raise funds for kids living with arthritis.
Our goal is to raise $1000.
This money raised will help fund special camps like Camp Twinkletoes that Mika, Noel and I attended earlier this year. We met lovely families and other kids who suffer from arthritis and it really helped us to live with Mika’s arthritis a bit better.

The walk is in honour of William Harris, an amazing boy with arthritis who passed away on 17th April, 2011. He was just 6 years old.
William lived with the chronic pain of arthritis and was diagnosed with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA).
He never crawled or walked properly and suffered from spiking fevers and a rash. His daily life involved painful, swollen and stiff joints. His story is a painful reminder that kids get arthritis too.
Luckily Mika is not suffering from this severe form of Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA). But he had to go through periods of arthritis pain and we can now say from the very bottom of our heard that no parent wants to see his or her child to suffer in any way.
No child should live in pain, so we will be walking to help Mika and all the other brave JIA kids.
